Political Ignorance
At present there is a great noise being made by Tibetans everywhere discussing about the forthcoming Special Meeting to be held in the month of November. Few are even talking about how there will be no change in the Middle Path Approach options. I wonder whether this is a hint for those of us who speak of and advocate Rangzen (Independence) or a clear signal of irreconcilable difference of the two sides.
At this critical moment of our history everyone must think seriously. As for me, it has become difficult even to have proper sleep these days. For the issue of Tibet, the foremost of all, there is a crucial need of unity and cooperation amongst us. If we keep on criticizing each others’ ideology and stand, it does not augur well. And if we bring up the issue of regionalism into this, it would be degeneration. Lot of my western friends are really concerned by this unwarranted development. Especially, they are seriously concerned by the destructive avenues beings created by these diversifying views and developments.
Today, many western observers have found that the Tibetan Government in Exile and the Tibetan Non-Governmental Organizations has emerged as two different parts. As such, there are constant comments in the society of asserting oneself as belonging to this group or that group etc. This is therefore one of an important issue in our struggle that we must resolve with utmost practicality.
As I have already mentioned in my previous articles, I do not need to repeat the details about how the Middle Path Approach has been first proposed by His Holiness the Dalai Lama in 1979. However I believe there is absolutely no necessity to explain that His Holiness will never fool us and that he is all-knowing Buddha; which substantial number of Tibetans has made a preferred habit. As for me, I am not saying that His Holiness will fool us or that he is not an all-knowing Buddha but that the China will fool us is for real. I feel like posing three questions below. First question is: Although Middle Path is proposed by His Holiness, Do the Kashag and the other executives of the Middle Path Approach could implement it in real sense.
And as for the Special Envoys, did they inform us clearly about the actual developments? Nobody could really determine the contention that Middle Path is the shortest way to Freedom. Besides how could one know? Almost 30 years have elapsed through the Middle Path approach and do we wish to spend 30 more years in this?
I still have many views to air but thought it otherwise. However we must think seriously. For this is the future of a race. Sons of mothers! One must avoid making a wrong decision. If we put all the responsibility upon His Holiness the Dalai Lama, there is every possibility that His Holiness will be blamed in the history. So we must think of the future history.
